Kingdom Cries

Posted June 18th, 2009 by Tony

One of the blessings we’ve had recently as a family is to meet so many other leaders from churches out west. It’s been amazing to see God doing new and powerful works in the heart of a generation who desires change.

Last night Pastor Jay Sloan brought his team of 27 out from Paradise Church in Vegas to dream about their future and later this month I get to go share with the Water of Life staff in Rancho Cucamonga about  the new passions God is putting on their heart for changing Southern CA. In August we’ll be up north to hang with Scott Ford, Richard Jett, and the crew from Adventure Christian who are doing big things as well.

We talk a lot about tears being a God given passion and thus a God given responsibility. Last night I was brought to tears. At 11:40pm I got a text from Pastor Shane Carroll. He couldn’t sleep because of God’s movement at PURE. They had a record setting night of 350 in attendance, 20 baptisms, and 10 first time decisions for Christ.

Please understand that he and the team launched PURE only one year ago yesterday!

I love our Generate family and am weekly moved to tears but there is something special about watching the kingdom be the kingdom. Local movements stirring audacious internationl impact.

You all are truly changing the world. I talked to my pastor friend in Atlanta about what you are doing and what we learned on our trip and he is turning his ministry upside down as a result. His name is Chad Manbeck. Please pray for him as we pray for you.
