Be Small Be Powerful

Seth Godin recently mentioned that people won’t follow you, support you, or buy from you based on you “offering more of a product than the trusted provider they already use.” READ MORE HERE. The reason being is that they’ve already made a decision about “whom to trust” for that particular resource.

The way we build a following is to find something else other providers haven’t already offered and built a following around. Always with the goal that they will trust “us” for that information, hope, product, or resource.

So, church and initiative leaders. Let’s ask the obvious question. What are we providing or focusing on as organizations that meets a need others aren’t meeting?

Maybe your church scratches a need for community better than the megachurch down the road?

Maybe you create passion in kids better than any other school around?

Maybe you inspire the restoration of the homeless in ways larger charities can’t?

In essence, choose a passion, find a niche, become the best in the world at one area and run with it. Don’t look over your shoulder and don’t look back just keep pushing. God given passion equals God given responsibility!

One Response to “Be Small Be Powerful”

The title of this blog remids me of a song I used to sing in the kids group at church. It went. . .

“I may be small but I’m powerful. God has made me this way…..”

I don’t remember the rest. =]
