Jon & Kate Minus 8

Posted October 13th, 2009 by Tony

Starting to get a little tired of the Jon & Kate stuff.

The most recent news has been money issues. Jon is accusing Kate of hiding money and Kate is accusing Jon of secretly spending 200k. The estranged couple is complaining because they can’t pay bills when their income must have been 7 figures the past few years. Media is having a blast airing the pain of divorce that befalls 50% the marriages in this country.

The biggest loser in all this is the kids. Is anyone writing on the kids?

Psychologists all say divorce leaves children with long term psychological struggles such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, insecurity, and commitment issues.

Would love to read less about two selfish people and more about eight hurting kids.

yeah! what a joke I agree!!!! My ? is why would you have cameras all up in your business when you are trying to raise 8+ kids, it’s hard enough with 1 or 2! ….not wisdom.

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

i agree! it so sad how our selfishness as parents effects the kids. we r so dumb n blind, we only see our pain n not the pain of those who r innocent in it all. our prayers need to be with those 8 beautiful children. May God protect there hearts n minds while their parents act a fool!

I think that this family needs to be taken out of the spotlight. At this point, Jon and Kate have their problems but I’m concerned for their kids. I have been keeping them in my prayers and have been hoping that this family figures out the problems that have been going on. The two parents have obviously let the money & the fame go to their heads and have DEFINITELY forgotten what is good for their kids. As a Christian, I strongly believe that God has a plan for this wonderful family although, i don’t believe that they are following His beautiful plan for them.
As a member of Crossroads I, and hope all of you, keep them in your prayers and hope that eventually this family figures out their issues. I also hope that the two parents GET THEIR HEADS ON AND PRAY!!!!!!!!!! No one can go through life with out the one and only Jesus Christ.

With love & God Bless you all!

It’s quite ridiculous what comes out of our own selfishness! What makes me so upset is how people can say “we care about our kids”, “we just want what is best for them” yet have a lousy way of showing it. Having your parents separated is not the best thing for any child. It’s very sad what’s happening to this family, but there are tons of families going through the same thing right now. I pray for those children… that they may break the cycle of their parents. I think they need to be taken out of the spotlight, for their own sake and their children.
It’s weird seeing them in the media as well because my family is among that 50%. My mother left my dad last year… my dad lost his company as well as recently he lost his new job. We don’t have have any money because my father paid off my mother’s debt… and yet she’s determined to make him the bad guy. I’m 19 years old and this has been the hardest thing that has ever happened to me. I have fought depression and insomnia for the last year…as well as the insecurity of thinking that i will be just like my parents…sometimes i ask myself how i’m doing it. It’s only by the power of God, i pray that the Gosselin children, that one day they may have a relationship with Jesus Christ because it’s the only way things can be delt with.

Divorce is not good. Father hates divorce. Society now does not have the fear of the LORD anymore. Marriage is a serious matter, 2 people making a covenant with GOD. The man needs to lay his life down for his wife, no matter what the issue is the man need to seek his estranged wife and run to JESUS with his bride. Oh i pray John and Kate get back together. God bless Crossroads

Ps. TOny,
First, I’d like to let you both know how bless I am just to see you fall in love with Jesus Christ and your 100 years friend (your wife).

Back to Kate and Jon. I believe this is our chance to pray for them and see miracles happen. Jesus’LOVE will draw them back together. Each one of us learn from mistakes whether it’s mine or theirs.
Faith comes through hard times NOT easy times.
Believing God still reigns!
